Drawing as a friendship tool! Dibujar como herramienta de amistad!

On my way to New York this past summer I had the chance to meet a very friendly and charming flight attendant on the flight SDQ-NWR. She saw me drawing (click here to see that other drawing) and felt curious; then asked me if I could draw something for her and here it is; this is a photo she later send me of that drawing:

En el viaje a New York este verano pasado, tuve la oportunidad de conocer a una de las azafatas del vuelo SDQ-NWR, una chica muy simpática y amable. Ella me vió dibujando (presiona aquí para ver ese otro dibujo) y le entró la curiosidad, entonces muy amablemente me pidió si podía dibujar algo para ella, aquí les dejo la foto que ella luego me envió del dibujo:

Summer break at New York / Vacaciones en Nueva York.

I'm spending some time in New York before going to Portland for the 1st International Sketching Symposium. My one week stop is a great opportunity to visit my sister and family, museums and reconnect with the N.Y City art scene. I just love New York, there is something about it that either you love it or hate it, it's all black and white, there are no mid-terms... and I absolutely LOVE N.Y. I look forward to do some drawings around the city, in the meantime here are a couple of them done on my way here at the airport an inside the plane.

Estoy pasándome una semana en Nueva York antes de ir a Portland para participar del 1er Simposio Internacional de Dibujo. Mi parada en Nueva York es una oportunidad para visitar a mi hermana y familia, los museos y re-conectar con el escenario artístico de la ciudad. Yo adoro la ciudad de Nueva York, hay algo en ella que hace que la ames o la odies, pero jamás te quedas en termino medio... yo la amo totalmente. Espero hacer algunos dibujos de la ciudad, mientras tanto aquí les dejo un par de ellos realizados mientras viajaba hacia aquí, en el aeropuerto y en el avión.
